DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in
training, supervising, counselling, and disciplining outlet staff.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of café areas.
- Maintain regular communication with the Food &
Beverage Manager regarding all aspects of outlet operations, including
employees, service, and functions.
- Provide recommendations to the Food & Beverage Manager
relating to operational and staffing improvements.
Service
- Monitoring inventory and ensuring that all
Food & Beverage supplies and other restaurant essentials are adequately
stocked.
- Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and
storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
- Focuses on suggestive selling and upselling of
the food & beverage products.
- Identify and acknowledge regular guests; know
their choice and specific taste of food & beverages.
- Advice guests on the choice of food &
drinks including smoothies, cold drinks, cocktails, wine, special brands etc.
- Provide necessary information to patrons about
specific food & beverages.
- Properly turn over relevant information
regarding specific guest’s needs and other significant incidents to senior
staff.
- Performs all the duties and responsibilities
of Bartender and Server when required.
- Support the Bar and prepare basic drinks as
per order when required.
- Help in monitoring beverage consumption to
ensure guests do not become too intoxicated.
- Understand and carry out orders given by the
Manager or Supervisor.
Customer
Service
- Represent Phora Durbar in a positive, professional,
and courteous manner to customers and staff.
- Ensure the provision of service standards that
develop and encourage repeat business.
- Respond to customer complaints and refer to
supervisor if required.
- Uphold the excellent grooming and presentation
standards of Phora Durbar.
Service
Support
- Ensure maintenance of equipment by calling for
repairs and training staff on proper use of the equipment.
- Conducting regular inspections of the
restaurant, kitchen to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and
sanitation are maintained.
- Ensure efficient use and management of time.
- Contribute new ideas and offer customer
feedback to Supervisor.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a safe
working environment.
- Support the implementation of new policies and
procedures issued by Management from time to time.
- Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude
to all and promote positive relations through an environment that encourages
open communication, trust, and mutual respect.
- Update yourself and follow
security/fire/safety procedures according to Company’s rules and regulations.
- Attend divisional/departmental meeting and
training when requested.
- Assist with other duties as determined by
immediate superiors from time to time.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven restaurant serving or waitering
experience.
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties.
- The ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Strong management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
