Engage with the internet as a political space; we recognise that online violence is a manifestation of offline violence and we build and promote a digital movement that addresses such phenomena.

  • Master’s degree in business administration/ management or commerce with Finance/Accounting as a major subject.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in International and National organization.
  • Good understanding of national rules and regulations
  • Understanding of development program budgeting and financial monitoring
  • Good understanding of Tax rules and regulations
  • Good time management and task prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural competencies and team player
  • Fluency in Nepali and English, both written and oral
  • Proficiency in using accounting & office application software(OMS)

Job Description

Maintains records and statements:

  • Work on the Organizational Management System (OMS) finance system
  • Prepares and examines accounting records, financial statements and submits it to the Executive Director to confirm procedural standard;
  • Ensure all the financial documents are properly filed and recorded.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts monthly to ensure cash balances agree with book balances.
  • Maintain and handle petty cash
  • Disburse cash and cheques; ensure proper security of cash, both in the safe and in transit.
  • Make accounts receivable, payable and bank statement reconciliation documents.
  • Settlements of all the program expenses

Administer salary in a timely and accurate manner

  • Prepare salary sheets and salary disbursement to staffs after appropriate procedures as required.
  • Maintain Staff time sheet and provide salary based only on Time Sheet verification Process salaries and maintain required records including salary packaging records.
  • Calculate employee salaries, deductions and contributions.
  • Banking Transactions.

Procurement and Office Management

  • Assist in procurement of office assets and office management in coordination with the administration assistant.
  • Follow all the procurement process as per organizations and Nepal Government rule.
  • Prepare documents for field staff travel and other allowances, provide fund as approved.
  • Maintain evidence to all activities performed. Including MOU with parties that LOOM engages with, minutes for decisions made that affect the organization's financial aspect.

Maintain tax payments

  • Duly pay taxes on monthly order and other staff and institutional requirements.
  • Work with the administration to clear year-end SWC Registration/Audit, Tax clearance certification and Annual Taxation.
  • Timely deposit & file return of TDS as per the Income Tax Act of Nepal
  • Monthly calculation and payment of Social Security Fund(SSF) and Citizen Investment Trust(CIT), Provident Fund(PF) 

Budgeting and Reporting

  • Prepare financial plans, budgeting, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting as per the organizational and donor’s requirements, proper documentation, monitoring, periodic reporting, handling project & financial year audit.
  • Prepare a quarterly and annually finance report and submit it to Executive Director
  • Maintain a budget vs. expenditure based on the projects and programs.
