Diagonal Technologies is looking for a System Administrator to join our development team. We are open to applications from all levels and experience is relevant depending on the level you wish to apply for.

Your Profile for this role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Network and System Administration.

Skill we look forward to in you

• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Knowledge of the IaaS and cloud/hosting environment is a plus
• Knowledge of using Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong documentation and reporting skills to effectively document routine technical problems, and to summarize the problems for various clients, including business and technical clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration and administration of the existing server systems, web applications and network components (switches, routers)
• Monitoring and optimization of our software and hardware environments
• Participation in the administration of our cloud infrastructure (OpenStack, CEPH)
• Cooperation with various contractual partners (e.g. external service providers) and the various internal areas/departments
• Project management for the ongoing development of the entire data center operation
