Job Description

To enhance its service excellence, NIHS seeks a qualified and passionate Staff Nurse-Fertility & IVF to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible obtaining detailed medical histories, reviewing records, and performing physical examinations to develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians. You will also responsible for preparing patients for In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedures and monitor subsequent cycles, ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications.

Job Duties, Responsibilities, and Specifications:

  • Assisting patients throughout their infertility journey.
  • Obtain detailed medical history, review medical records and perform appropriate physical examination.
  • Collaborate with physicians in developing and implementing treatment plans appropriate to individual patients.
  • Preparation for patients preparing to undergo In-Vitro Fertilization, and monitor subsequent cycles.
  • To identify, prepare and dispense medications and other medical products to patients based on prescriptions from doctors.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the medication area
  • Perform the role of liaison for clinical staff and supervising physician to ensure quality medical care and address issues for improvement.
  • Provide patient counselling and education throughout their fertility process.
  • To ensure high safety and ethical practice standards.
  • Maintaining excellent patient care and feedback mechanisms.
  • Organize, file, and confidentially maintain health information.
  • To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities of the center as the need arises.
  • Assisting colleagues and performing any other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator.

Qualification, Experience, and Skills:

  • Education: PCL/BN in Nursing (registered with Nepal Nursing Council).
  • At least Two years of hospital or clinical experience in IVF and fertility hospital or clinic.
  • Excellent knowledge of clinical protocols, nursing care methods, and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (e.g., sanitation, decontamination) and willingness to follow them.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Patient with excellent problem-solving skills.

Observation Period and Probation Period:

  • The successful candidate will undergo a one-week observation period. The probation period for the successful candidate will be six months.
