Decor items have been sourced locally to support and highlight the craftmanship of local artisans including hand-knotted Tibetan rugs, hand-embroidered furnishings, thanka paintings and custom hand-made furniture.

Job Description

Internships are important to the hospitality industry as they offer a hands-on learning curve which, in turn, produces more effective employees. It also highlights skill sets and individual strengths, enabling interns to make an informed decision on which areas of specializations they want to pursue. Internships are important, both in terms of employability and creating future industry leaders.

At Hotel Shambala, we offer a range of internship programs across all the departments. The intern is required to understand the overall operations of the hotel while specializing in one or two areas. 

  • Front Office
  • Food & Beverage- Service
  • Housekeeping
  • Food Production
  • Business Administration

The Business Administrative Intern will rotate and assist the Finance Department, Sales and Marketing Department and the Human Resource Department. 

Competencies and Skills Required

  • Bachelors in Hospitality running or completed for operational departments whereas Bachelors in any field for Business Administration
  • Gives high attention to details
  • Should be a good team worker
  • Should be responsible, disciplined and organized
  • Should be honest and able to work under pressure
