Who We Are:

We are a marketing firm located in New York City. We are in search of a web designer to help support our project manager in building a new e-commerce site for our client using Wordpress and Shopify.
We are looking for an intermediate/ advanced web designer with 3+ years experience in web design. Initial hours will range from 30-40 hours/ week and will span from 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Basic WordPress site updates using existing themes using Advanced Custom Fields (content edits, image changes, menu updates, adding/removing pages, styling PDF’s, etc.)
  
• Creating/customizing various graphic web assets including banner images, icons, and promotional resources (JPG, PNG, PDF, etc.) to be added to client websites
  
• Styling banner images/email newsletter headers to reflect promotional campaigns and events
  
• Resizing, cropping, and retouching of before & after photo gallery images
  
• Enhance website layouts and themes under the guidance of art directors and front-end developers
  
• Develop technical skills and stay abreast of software changes and developments in web technology
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years experience working with the WordPress content management system, including the implementation and customization of WordPress themes
  
• 2+ years experience in working with Shopify and customizing themes
  
• Experience with managing, improving, and maintaining websites
  
• Strong understanding of the elements of website design, including theme, style, and structure
  
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Muse, Dreamweaver, Shopify  etf...
  
• Design and development of WordPress websites for league organizers to help them market and increase participation in their programs
  
• Complete site upgrades and updates for partners
  
• Design WordPress templates / themes using tools like PhotoShop, Illustrator and Beaver Builder
  
• Handle content entry into WordPress websites
  
• Design and code HTML / CSS static landing pages
  
• Must have knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  
• CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, PHP, Mysql experience is preferred but not mandatory
  
• Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual
  
• Must possess excellent communication skills in both technical and business environments
