• BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Math or related engineering field or 4+ years pertinent experience
• 3+ years of PHP development with WordPress, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LAMP or LEMP stack
• 3+ years of software development experience and skilled at crafting modern PHP
• A comprehensive understanding of what it takes to write secure and performant code
• WordPress Development experience and the WooCommerce eCommerce platform
• A solid understanding of the WordPress theme structure and WordPress template hierarchy
• Experience designing/consuming Rest Web Services/RESTful APIs and JSON-based API’s including WordPress API
• Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
• Strong knowledge of web frameworks (e.g. React); object-oriented principles and Agile development
• Strong understanding of version control and Github.
• HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and AJAX know how
• Experience working with Git, TDD, NPM, CI frameworks, Mocha, Grunt, Node.js, and responsive design
• Front-end Skills: Proven programming skills including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and proficiency in CSS frameworks, JavaScript frameworks, Grunt/Gulp, SASS and other development tools/technologies
• Knowledge of Bootstrap and modern layout modules including Flexbox and CSS Grid
• Working knowledge of current web technologies and usability best-practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
