Our mission is to empower marginalized communities through equitable, inclusive and holistic development programs. Salary: Rs.25,000/- to Rs.35,000/-

Key Job Description:

  • VC is responsible to coordinate with international & local volunteers
  • VC represents VIN’s values and mission, and is responsible for effectively integrating the skills and experiences of international volunteers with the knowledge and vision of the local team
  • This includes everything necessary to ensure the effective settling of volunteers, such that they are able to contribute to the best of their abilities
  • Logistic Support like, airport pick up, accommodation booking, orientation / training, placement, arranging host families, follow up support, transportation, planning & reporting

Education: Bachelor’s (Master’s Preferred) Degree in any discipline 

Experience: 3 years of experience in related field

Expected Qualities:

  • Fluent in English, excellent interpersonal communications, flexible, adoptable, hard-working, passionate on empowering disadvantaged people, punctual, coordination and negotiation, leadership, planning, reporting & documentation, 

Detail Job Description:

  • Orientate and integrate international volunteers into the VIN team and local community. This includes everything necessary to ensure the effective settling in of volunteers, such that they are able to contribute to the best of their abilities:
  • Identifying and promoting best practices for recruiting, maintain, and mobilising volunteers in Nepal
  • Skills-matching prior/during placement
  • Updating/Developing volunteer projects with VIN program managers
  • Briefing respective VIN program managers on new volunteers, discussing placements  and preparation work for induction and program scope-of-work for each individual
  • Empowering each volunteer through orientation, training and supplying of resources in addition to regular supervision of work output
  • Welcoming newcomers through airport pick ups
  • Leading Excursions for volunteers
  • Collecting the emergency contacts, current contact numbers and mailing address of volunteers
  • Prepare Volunteers Cards for Volunteers
  • Arrangements of Sightseeing, visit to hospital ( if required) and Community
  • Volunteers Follow up and Reporting
  • Inform volunteers about volunteer meetings, conduct and keep all records of meeting
  • Make arrangements for pick up of volunteer from hotel to office, office to host family and host family to hotel.
  • Record due expense of volunteer Program
  • Record the dates of stay and departure of volunteers from host family and dates of Travel/Trekking. Provide that information to the accountant.
  • Support to website updates
  • Collect Posts from Post Office
  • Library management and Checking
  • Confirm host family/organisation/ Monastery with Volunteer Manager for placement
  • Prepare, Update data and documents in server
  • Send exit form in prior to the volunteers and make sure they received it.
  • Arrange feedback/Exit Meeting/Interview of volunteers with volunteer manager/ED
  • Receive all the documents/reports /photos from the volunteers
  • Assist volunteer Manager in his/her roles

NOTE: This is an urgent requirement. Priority will be given to those candidates who are willing to join on short notice.
