Raleigh International in Nepal implements the project Inspiring Youth Through Active Citizenship since 2016.
We are looking for Team Leaders (volunteers) to join our Autumn 2019 volunteering programmes:
On our programmes you will be working side by side with local communities and international volunteers in various villages of Gorkha or Makwanpur districts for 12 weeks . Please note: The role is voluntary and unpaid – but you are provided with accommodation, transport, food and medical cover throughout the programme.

Do you have the passion and motivation to challenge yourself and change your world? Want to do something different and help Nepal’s rural communities? Do you want to work with international volunteers? Can you commit to either 5, 10 or 12 weeks this summer? Raleigh International Nepal is running 2 different programmes this summer and we’d like you to join us as:
1. VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES for young people aged 18-23
2. VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES for young people aged 24-30
Note: These roles are voluntary and are unpaid – we provide you with all accommodation,transport, food and medical cover.
A. International Citizen Service (ICS):
The ICS programme is fully funded by the UK government and you receive a certificate from the UK government for completing the programme.Young people from the UK will travel to Nepal and work with you as part of a team of 12 volunteers – 6 Nepali and 6 UK plus 2 Team Leaders (1 Nepali/1 UK). You will be living and working with local communities in Makwanpur helping to deliver either our WASH programme or supporting our livelihood programme.You will be responsible for delivering awareness raising sessions, community infrastructure, developing resources for the community, undertaking needs assessments and action research, helping our partners deliver training to the communities and promoting active global citizenship.
B. Expedition & Youth Leadership Programme – 10 weeks & 5 Weeks
For the Expedition and Youth Leadership programme you will be expected to have experience of working with young people in sport or other outdoor activities and be capable of managing a team in a challenging physical environment.
Both programmes require a high level of commitment over 12 or 7 weeks and you will be expected to:
