Primary Purpose
- The core function of the Transport Supervisor is to assist Operation Manager with direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles and in charge of planning, directing and coordinating all the activities related to transportation within the company
Expectations
- Monitor and check the Trek software for daily vehicle booking requirements and arrange for respective vehicle internally or externally
- Plan, organize and manage the work of drivers to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements
- Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints or transport related issues
- Direct responsible for on-time delivery performance
- Update Operations Manager regarding group movement and all the necessary arrangements
- Maintain record of the fuel log book and vehicle maintenance log book
- Keep separate record of all the vehicles and submit vehicle expenses to the accounts department in a timely manner
- Monitor and record the vehicle movement
- Administrative support to Operations Manager during offseason
Attributes
- Analyze expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans and budgets for increasing profits and improving services
- Main contact person for all the information regarding vehicle movement
- Collaborative working style• Working directly with external vendors on the procurement processes including equipment research and testing, vendor contracts and requisition approval
- Good delivery of information regarding clients to the concerned departments to ensure the smooth flow of service
