  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in software development field
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a project manager. Additional experience preferred

You have working knowledge and experience with:

  • Proven project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Project management software tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • Writing technical documentation (samples must be shown at interview)
  • Software testing and quality assurance

You are:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Able to multitask and focus on deadlines under pressure
  • Familiar with Programming fundamentals

Background in any of the following is a bonus:

  • PMP, PRINCE2 or Scrum Master certifications
  • Software Development (especially Software Design) experience
  • Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, CMMi, etc)

Job Description

This is a leadership role suited to independently motivated, first-class software professionals. You will initiate and manage software development projects throughout the entire life cycle. You will employ proven techniques in project management to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and with the highest quality.

This position is best suited to a hands-on project manager. You should be capable and willing to work closely with the team in their day to day activities. You should understand their issues and take responsibility to solve the team’s challenges. You are both a mentor and a leader.

Role and Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Controls Technical resourcing, development and management.
  • The TM is responsible for managing technical processes and engineering to ensure project success, focused on providing technical services delivery that meets client requirements in a profitable and timely manner
  • Meet with client teams and gather technical requirements prior to engagement
  • Provide direction and technical expertise. Ensure standard operating procedures and project guidelines are in place. Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases
  • Provide technical assessment and support during the recruitment of technical hires.
  • Provide high-level technical support. He/she should be able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems
  • Supporting project managers with task allocation and resource coordination
  • Manage team communication. Conduct regular team meetings and track project progress
  • Identify technical resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability
  • Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation
  • Work with Project Manager to match resources to available jobs based on skill sets, previous experience & geographical location
  • Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases
  • Responsible for ensuring all technical knowledge, processes, and procedures are developed and updated
  • Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration.
  • Responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and management of all operational tools for Technical Development and Management
  • Provide line management for installation and commissioning resources. Conducts periodic performance reviews of team members and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members
  • Able to guide the team through the development, testing and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively
