National Association of People Living with HIV in Nepal (NAP+N) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) was established in 2003 that works at the national level and local community-based organizations and communities with a mission to strengthen the voice of PLHIV through the formation and strengthening of networks and association of PLHIV to respond to the challenges of HIV and AIDS in Nepal. NAP+N focuses on building the capacity of local PLHIV groups to respond appropriately to the needs of PLHIV and its related key populations in areas of advocacy, prevention, care, and support, counseling, raising community awareness, providing information and education, and improving access to the healthcare and legal services. 

NAP+N is seeking applications from qualified, smart, and result-oriented Nepali citizens for the following positions to support HIV and TB programs focusing on HIV case finding among other vulnerable populations (Migrant and their spouse) in the community.

Duty Station: Dhangadi with frequent travel to NAP+N partner CBOs under GFATM

Position type: Contract

Salary & Benefits: As per HR Policy of NAP+N

Contract Duration: Initially up to 31st December 2019 and possibilities of extension upon funding availability 

Major Duties:

  • Support NTC and Save the Children to develop the necessary strategic documents concerning program planning and implementation, such as policy papers, concept notes, detail implementation plan etc.
  • Provide strategic advice, direction and direct technical inputs to District Project Coordinator in necessary areas of TB program
  • Develop the monitoring and evaluation plan of the Program and ensure its implementation.
  • Responsible to implement NTP activities in coordination with the stakeholders of the program like Medical Colleges, NGOs, Private Practitioners, Professional organizations, and TB related co-morbidity care providers
  • Prepare the implementation plan of allocated activities linking with NTP’s regular activities with the support of D/PHO, DTLO, provincial local and district team members
  • Field supervision for monitoring and assessment of program performance and provide technical support to M&E and District Project Coordinator (DPC) for their quality performance
  • Develop a management information system of TB program is established, which allows the efficient and effective collection, storage and analysis of data throughout the program
  • Communicate with line manager and central team members about the progress of the activities. 
  • Work closely in coordination with NTC, Save the Children (Country office team and provincial team) and NAP+N and update about the project’s events and progress
  • Ensure proper coordination of the program implementation among NTC, PR, implementing partners (CBOs), NGOs, INGOs and with government line agencies
  • Analyze the timeliness and quality of the outputs as well as timely preparation of reports on achievements and challenges faced within the project
  • Prepare work plans, produce timely reports and progress reports
  • Establish and maintain harmonization with district and regional level stakeholders (government, NGOs, CBOs and donors)
  • Responsible for the proper documentation and reporting of all activities with sufficient proof and evidence documents including any other relevant issues during execution of field activities
  • Ensure the ACSM activities in coordination with PPM agencies, coordinating with the medical college/hospitals/teaching institutes/schools for improved involvement in the program
  • Communicate with line manager and central team members about the progress of the activities. 
  • Contribute ideas and be innovative for the creation and continuation of efficient professional team
  • Participate in different meetings, trainings, workshop and seminars as required for the organization at province and district level
  • Motivate the district level staffs and other volunteers involved in the program for the TB case finding and management
  • Perform other task as per the direction made by Program Manager

Responsibilities

  • Work in close collaboration with the team of NAP+N, NTC and Donor agencies
  • Represents NAP+N in different forums to carry out the objectives and goals
  • Promote NAP+N wherever possible

Required Competencies:

  • Master's Degree in Public Health or equivalent with 2 years of working experiences in HIV and TB related projects or Bachelor's Degree in Public Health with Health Assistant background having 5 years of working experiences in HIV and TB related projects at National Level
  • Good project management skills and able to deliver with minimal supervision
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, strong team player and calm even under pressure
  • Fluent in English and Nepali (speaking and writing)
  • Ability to work with target groups of People Living with HIV and TB
  • Proficiency on computer usage on office Packages, email and internet
  • Having driving license of Motorbike will be asset
