Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Team Leader to join our Outsourced Experts offshore team in Nepal. This role is responsible for leading a team of Mortgage Credit Analysts, ensuring high-quality credit assessments, and maintaining compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage lending, risk analysis, team leadership, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Mortgage Credit Analysts, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
  • Provide training, coaching, and professional development to enhance team expertise and efficiency.
  • Monitor daily workflows, ensuring timely and accurate loan assessments.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

2. Credit Assessment & Risk Management

  • Oversee the evaluation of mortgage loan applications, ensuring all credit decisions align with lending policies and risk appetite.
  • Review complex loan files, providing guidance and recommendations to analysts as needed.
  • Ensure thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and supporting documentation to assess borrower risk.
  • Escalate high-risk applications or potential fraud concerns to senior management.

3. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all loan assessments comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and responsible lending obligations.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and reduce errors in credit assessments.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management best practices.

4. Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Act as the key liaison between the offshore team, onshore brokers, credit teams, and business partners.
  • Provide clear, well-documented justifications for credit decisions and process improvements.
  • Address escalations, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure smooth communication across teams.

5. Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities to streamline credit assessment workflows, improving efficiency and turnaround times.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of training materials, SOPs, and team policies.
