Job Specification

Education Level : Under Graduate (Bachelor)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 2 years
Other Specification
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux/Windows based environments
  • Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
  • Experience with networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with Cloud networking, preferably in AWS
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box, Vagrant, Docker, Citrix)
  • Experience with automation software (e.g. Ansible, Chef)
  • Good scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Python and similar scripting languages in different OS)
  • Hands-on experience with Firewall and Switch
  • Strong Knowledge about the subject area in which they are working
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail
  • Willing to work during odd working hours
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints with dynamic requirements

Job Description

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
  • Supervise 2nd and 3rd level support
  • Perform R&D work on any given task related to their duties and responsibilities
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  • Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
  • Work directly with developers to debug problems and solutions
  • Lead and contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of deployment and task automation (OS, database services, virtual networks, or other platform services)
  • Review and influence new and evolving designs, architectures, standards, and methods for operating services and systems
  • Submit daily job reports, other reports in due time
  • Perform all other technical and documentation duties as assigned
