National Association of People Living with HIV in Nepal (NAP+N) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) was established in 2003 that works at the national level and local community-based organizations and communities with a mission to strengthen the voice of PLHIV through the formation and strengthening of networks and association of PLHIV to respond to the challenges of HIV and AIDS in Nepal. NAP+N focuses on building the capacity of local PLHIV groups to respond appropriately to the needs of PLHIV and its related key populations in areas of advocacy, prevention, care, and support, counseling, raising community awareness, providing information and education, and improving access to the healthcare and legal services. 

NAP+N is seeking applications from qualified, smart, and result-oriented Nepali citizens for the following positions to support HIV and TB programs focusing on HIV case finding among other vulnerable populations (Migrant and their spouse) in the community.

Job Overview : The Support Staff is one of the member of Program Management Unit (PMU) of NAP+N. This position will also contribute to implement the organizational strategies, policies and plans

Reports to Administrative and Finance Officer

No of position : 1 (One)

Duty Station : Kathmandu with frequent travel to study areas in Nepal 

Position type : Contract

Salary & Benefits: : As per the organizational rule for this position 

Contract Duration : Initially up to 31st December 2019 and possibilities of extension upon the performance

Position type : 100%

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that all visitors are well received and attended to and that the office is kept clean
  • Ensure that all utilities, communication invoice are cleared on time or not
  • Assist in operational backstopping of PMU offices by ensuring timely provision of suitable inputs such as equipment, stationary and other utilities required
  • Assist in coordination of activities for visitors to the field project and other sites including making hotel reservations and arranging transport in consultation with supervisors
  • Receive and make telephone calls and keep record of all these calls and the relevant accounts or projects to be charged
  • Maintain a schedule of planned meetings and attend to routine correspondence and administration functions especially in the absence of the officers
  • Ensure that supervisor and other officers on field trips receive necessary logistical support to make their trips successful
  • Provide photocopying and document binding services as requested
  • Provide filing services, archiving and offer circulation of letter service within the office
  • Provide errands, travel and banking services as required
  • Work with the relevant officers on arrangement of workshops/meetings materials
  • Undertakes other duties which may be appropriate within the areas of responsibility of the post, as and when assigned by Board

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Lower secondary level completed with minimum 1years of working experiences in related field
  • Should be from target groups
  • Ability to work with target groups they are people living with HIV
  • Knowledge on office equipment's such as photocopy, printer, faxes, telephone intercom
