JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for Inventory planning and processes to ensure optimum utilization of space and inventory and drive controls at the unit

General Skills:

  • Knowledge of Raw and Packaging material storage and quality of the material
  • Knowledge of Raw and Packaging material issue as per stores requisition
  • Knowledge of various type of Scrap and scrap management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Technical efficiency and wastage control
  • Maintain CPT for the Unit and Business
  • Experience to handle various internal departments viz. Planning, Logistics, Quality, Manufacturing, Oil buying, Finance, Legal and respective Central team members
  • Knowledge of Production and Despatch planning  Experience to handle contract workmen
  • Experience to handle 3P for material movement, production and despatch
  • Knowledge to maintain various assets at various departments inside Factory and 3P
  • Maintain healthy relation with shop floor employee

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning/Procurement:

  • Review stocks Vs Production plan for forward weeks and plan accordingly
  • Issue material requirement as per Requisition Slip
  • Schedule day-wise materials requirements to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels
  • Review critical stock items and raise alerts to respective teams
  • Generate forecast for materials to respective team
  • RM-PM quality clearance follow-up with QC team

Documentation:

  • Maintaining Arrival Register for RM-PM
  • GRR & ILT Efficiency Review, actions to improve the efficiency
  • Issue to CC Review & Sign off
  • Tech-Eff Analysis documentation & Reports
  • Location Review & sign off
  • Weighbridge Calibration Report documentation
  • Requisition Slip documentation & proper sign off from respective team
  • Scrap Sales documentations, SOP adherence

Drive Networks:

  • MAI Reviews
  • Material planning for Current & forward weeks
  • Non-moving & Slow-moving Review
  • Follow-up with Local vendors for RM-PM Scheduling

Vendor Management & Logistics:

  • Co-ordination with 3P vendors on day to day basis
  • Stock transfer between 3P & factory
  • Follow-up with local transporter for movement within 3P & factory

Cost bench marking and Savings delivery:

  • Inventory DOH reduction
  • Effective inventory review, ensure nil business waste/WOP
  • Effective planning for minimum movement between 3p & factory

Inventory Management and controls:

  • Inventory review for RPM along with Shelf-life review
  • Review monthly stock hygiene and tagging for the mismatches
  • Daily Reconciliation of RM-PM for Factory & 3P
  • RM-PM Store Hygiene
  • Ensuring Pace checklist requirements & timely completion
  • Daily Stock reconciliation of factory and 3P’s
  • Quarterly review of 3P tech-eff and pass tag entries in books and recoveries if any

Safety:

  • Ensure Safety and PTW system is followed
  • Ensure compliance to Safety Leading indicators as per Factory targets
  • Ensure compliance to Safety Audit systems as per schedule

Morale:

  • Execute Company policies in letter and spirit e.g. COBP, Safety Policy and Quality Policy
  • Identify training needs for the subordinates
  • Team working
  • Man management skills, problem solving and motivating people to achieve stretched targets
  • Interpersonal competency and ability to effectively handle people related issues

Areas of Excellence: Skill

  • ERP system MFGPRO, SAP
  • Good communication, analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Inventory management

Qualification:

  • Commerce Graduate or Diploma in Engineering from reputed college

Relevant Experience:

  • 3-4 years
