    Job Description

    Job purpose:

     A Sr. Account Officer reviews a business financial transactions and other documents to ensure they are accurate. S/He reviews the books of accounts and confirms that records of expenditures and profits are correct. S/He analyzes all other fiscal activities and certifies that they comply with accounting, legal requirements and company policies. S/he closely coordinates with the Team Leader and reports to BODs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring accuracy, authenticity and reliability of transactions.
    • Preparing scheduled MIS Reports for Management
    • Keeping access & control on Tally.ERP9 software, and guide the users
    • Ensure that the company financial reporting is kept up to date with changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and taking prompt action to effect any changes necessary to achieve compliance.
    • Maintain project costing for major customers and timely respond to account enquiries of pre-mentioned stakeholders
    • Train and supervise subordinates & accounting software users

    Compliance Knowledge:

    • Ensure Timely filing of returns of VAT, TDS, Tax, etc.
    • Prepare the books as per NAS/NFRS and adhering company policies and get its Audit done through auditors
    • Conduct Internal as well as external Audit and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare Minutes and documents necessary for Company Registrar and make sure all documents are provided within deadline

    Team Management:

    • Should have leadership qualities to lead in Accounts to manage and motivate the team and ensuring all data entries and postings are done accurately. S/He should be able to train the team to work efficiently and responsibly
    • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management & external parties to maximize performance
    • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
    • Must be willing to stay for a long period of time with the company and grow with the company rather than short-term
