Job Description

Department: Internal Audit

Duty Station: Current requirement is in Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements.

Main responsibility areas:

  • Facilitate and participate in contracts preparation and review, pre and post-project implementation reviews on top of conducting other relevant operational audits when required
  • Develop, maintain and proactively update audit programs. 
  • Travel to different Operating Companies to conduct audits as part of cross-functional auditing
  • Attend meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
  • Periodically perform risk assessments on key business activities and use the information to guide what should be covered in audits.
  • Periodically prepare reports and highlight issues and problems to share with relevant stakeholder
  • Routinely assess how well the business is complying with rules and regulations and inform the management about issues that need addressing
  • Share recommendations with relevant staff members to make improvements to operations and help secure backing for them in the meetings
  • Anticipate emerging issues through research and interviews and decide how best to deal with them
  • Provide support and guidance to management on how to handle new opportunities
  • Provide ad hoc advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels, sometimes by delivering courses and training sessions.
  • Manage a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communication
  • Assist in the development, execution and completion of risk assessment, audit plan, and other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor
