  • Must have a full time degree in Computer Science or similar
  • At least 1 year working experience in related field
  • Knowledge of Source Control Tools like git, SVN, Mercurial
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools like Travis, Jenkins
  • AWS: Experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security
  • Knowledge of other cloud based services like Google Cloud, Azure is plus
  • Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Datadog, Sumo logic, Graphite, etc.)
  • Follow agile principles and processes including (but not limited to) standup meetings, sprints and retrospectives
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases with hands on experience in at least one database system
  • Solid understanding of Data Structure and Algorithms
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts
  • Knowledge of Linux / Windows with system troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong problem solving and written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with Version Control tools such as Git.
  • Ability to design, build and work with RESTful Web Services in JSON and XML formats
  • Familiarity or the ability to learn and adapt to current trends and best practices
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, collaborative, with an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment with a proactive attitude
  • Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement of this job

Job Description

  • Learning about and gathering new technologies and related tools to introduce to the company in order to grow the agile development environment
  • Providing direct server support during various operations such as deployment and general production
  • Collaborating with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices
  • Designing, implementing and testing agreed-upon infrastructures.
  • Automating deployment of Linux applications, system configurations and security settings
  • Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems.
  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
  • Ensuring critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions
  • Participate in implementing new software features and maintain existing features
  • Report work progress regularly to the supervisor
  • Regularly attend internal and client meetings
  • Deploy, monitor and maintain applications
  • Provide proper guidance and supervision of subordinate engineers and their work
