 Project Aim

• To develop a range of cost effective remote monitoring and sensing technologies for the company to improve data reporting and maintenance monitoring
• The system will also have an integrated dashboard and associated mobile applications for display of the readings from the remote sensors

The Project Activities are outlined as follows: 

• Research and investigate current sensing and remote monitoring technologies that could be integrated into the current range of Products
• Based on the results of the research undertake a new product development plan for sensing, remote monitoring and reporting platform (incorporating existing technologies and customisable reporting dashboards)
• Work with technology suppliers to develop a prototype system for sensing and monitoring
• Develop a specific dashboard prototype for testing
• Undertake laboratory scale and then real-world application testing of the technologies under a range of environmental conditions
• Based on the results of the testing, update the system and reporting requirements to optimise the sensing technologies, communication protocols and dashboard reporting in order to finalise the product development
• Deploy the finalised sensing and monitoring technologies to key customers for trial and review in key applications
• Consider the commercialisation strategy for the newly developed CityGreen IoT technologies

Key Skills:

• Experience of 0-2 years
• A working knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors & wireless communication
• Expertise in developing quality user interface
• Understanding of IOS/Android mobile application development is a must
• An excellent ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment
• Have an innovative mindset and willingness to learn new trends and developments in the IoT field
• A good understanding of and an ability to implement operational security and ensure data privacy
