The role involves the analysis, design, development, maintenance, testing, implementation, training, and support of various business applications using Microsoft technologies:

• Serve as Applications Developer to support multiple on-going projects as well as develop new customized applications
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server and C#/VB.NET
• Interact with project teams and clients to determine project needs and translate those needs into strong but simple solutions
• Create and deliver data-driven reports
• Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications 
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
• Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Test, debug, support and maintain application programs for customers in a variety of industries, lines of business and environments
• Consult closely with management and occasionally agency staff related to projects and tasks
• Assist in the creation of general system design and technical specifications for new systems taking into consideration server capacity, limitations and system availability
• Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems
• Develop design artifacts from requirements documents
• Ensure compliance with the documented software processes and procedures throughout the life cycle of software products

Compensation:
