What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent preferred, but we value expertise over a degree.
  • Three years of experience in PHP.
  • Extensive knowledge of HTTP, GET, POST, HTTP Headers.
  • Experienced with the integration of third-party APIs and web services.
  • Proficient regular expressions, XPath and CSS selectors.
  • Strong command in character encodings, database (SQL & NoSQL), jQuery and other javascript frameworks is a plus.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills, a collaborator who shares knowledge with the peers.
  • Three years of experience in PHP.
  • Pay attention to every small detail. Do you think you do? Did you notice we wrote the second point twice?
  • Must be curious like a cat and creative like a child.

    Job Description

    • Build large scale crawlers that have the ability to crawl through millions of pages
    • Manage and refine existing crawlers using PHP and other means such as scrapy, selenium, phantonjs et cetera
    • Contribute to the development of the in-house crawling framework
    • Work as a part of the team to in planning, designing and the development of the product, improvements, and the new features
    • Be a part of something big and push the cutting edge tools even further
    • Communicate with the client through e-mail to understand requirements and discuss possible solutions
