Job Description:

• Have a responsibility to select and manage a local design & construction company in order to survey, design, implement and supervise small-scale village infrastructures such as construction and renovation of local government building, widening of roads, drainage construction, and so on
• Coordinate with Local Government & User’s Group along with KECC/IRDN field team, ensuring high-quality performance and program delivery based on action plan
• Review the design and cost estimate of small infra projects
• Monitor and supervise the construction work and track the process of implementation of all infrastructure activities in the project area
• Adhere with the construction standard prepared and followed by the Government of Nepal while designing and implementing the small infrastructure project activities
• Develop detailed process & procedure for the implementation of infrastructure work and provide training to user’s committee
• Prepare regular(monthly or bi-monthly) work plan which adhere to the overall IRDN project objectives and activities. Also, prepare technical progress report on design, estimate and plan
• Organize regular field visit to ensure effective implementation of small infrastructure works
• Manage and maintain cordial relationship with the local stakeholders, GoN officials, NGO partners, Community people etc.
• Ensure that KECC/KOICA operational policies and procedures are followed, while ensuring downward and upward responsibility of project efficiency, transparency and accountability

Qualification and Preference:

• Certificated Engineer in Nepal
• No less than 7 Years of Experience in the related field
• Preference will be given to the candidates who reside or work in Nawalparasi equipped with a report writing ability in English

Duration and Duty Station:

• The expert will be hired on a full time basis initially for one year with a probational period(3 months).(1 year contract only)
• He or she will be stationed in Nawalparasi and will have to make frequent field visits to the project area
