Job Description

Work Purpose: To build and maintain relations with the Government of Nepal at the Central, Regional and District levels. Represent World Vision International Nepal in external forum.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Master’s degree in Social Science-Research and Policy Analysis/Public Administration or any other related field from recognised university with at least five years’ work experience in the related field/development work in Nepal
  • Good knowledge of humanitarian industry
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, coordination, planning, facilitation skills
  • Strong negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Good understanding on financial management and resource allocation 
  • Demonstrated collaboration & team building skills
  • Effective relationship management skills; ability to influence without having authority
  • Understand WV’s vision, mission, core values, and strategic mandates 
  • Ability to structure and manage one’s own work 
  • Demonstrated experience at liaison of government and non-government stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in  campaigning, advocacy, lobbying, government engagement, capacity building, coordination and networking
  • Advanced Excel and quantitative skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali  
  • Ability to work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
