One of our USA based global clients working in Local and social space has asked us to strengthen our team to support their new product development. As part of this elite team, you will implement system and application software that brings new functionality, better accuracy, increased reliability, and enhanced scalability to systems. The job type is remote and the selected candidates are meant to work from home.

The entire platform is on amazon EC2 servicers with Linux/Ubuntu.  Software is on LAMP stack with PHP Yii2 framework. 

Our ideal requirement is a for a smart engineer with deep experience in Linux/UNIX servers system administration as well as full stack software development on LAMP stack with PHP Yii2 . But deeper experience in LINUX/UNIX system administration is a must. 

Requirement

• Over 6+ years of strong and hands on experience as a LINUX/UNIX system administrator and production support of various applications 
• Installation, configuration and maintenance on  Amazon AWS  EC2 servers
• Management of user accounts, system security, change management and performance tuning
• Installation of SSL certificates
• Installation of patches and hardware/ software patches upgrades
• Installation and configuration of  Apache/weblogic on Linux
• Extensive implementation and trouble shooting experience relating to client server systems
• Experience in writing basic shell scripts using hsk,bash,perl for process automation of databases, applications, backup and scheduling
• Strong technical background in storage, disk management, logical volume management (LVM) and logical partitioning
• Trouble shooting skills with network protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP & SNMP
• Integration of Various network related services like NFS, NIS, DNS etc

It will also be good for a candidate to have:

• Developing Web applications using PHP / Laravel / Yii2 (preferable)
• Good Knowledge of javascript programming and using library like jQuery
• Good Exposure to database programming in PHP (MySql/MariaDB) including data modeling
• Knowledge of XML, JSON and REST (Web Services) API Development
• Knowledge of GIT and sub-versioning
