Corporate Position: Junior Officer

Position Summary: 

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting Department Head in the smooth operation of Finance & Compliance Department of KCL Astute. The incumbent is expected to  perform analytical work requiring knowledge of current financial principles and analytical  practices. 

This position reports directly to the Head of Finance Department.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Duties and Responsibilities of Senior Financial Analyst include the following: 

  • Assist supervisor in preparation and finalization of the monthly, quarterly & financial report; 
  • Ensure compliance with Company Act, Security Act, AML-CFT Act, PMS Guidelines, Labour Act, Bonus Act, Income Tax Act and other relevant Acts, Rules & Regulations; 
  • Assist supervisor in preparation and finalization of Company's annual budget; 
  • Assist supervisor to finalize 'Annual Financial Statement' of the Company; 
  • Liaise with statutory auditor and internal auditor of the Company, plans audit and coordinate with auditors for timely completion of the audit;
  • Prepare and post journal, payment and receipt entries; 
  • Oversee and assist with processing all payments including vendor's invoices, individual  reimbursements, payroll and other accounts payable and receivables as required; 
  • Process request from other departments with proper supporting documents on time; 
  • Follow up receivables and ensure recognition and receipt of the same on time; 
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation, Stock Reconciliation within stipulated time; 
  • Ensure tax filings (i.e. TDS, Advance Tax and Estimated Tax) within stipulated time; 
  • Prepare letters & memorandums in matters to be dealt with BFI’s, Capitals and Brokers; 
  • Negotiate with BFIs, Capitals and Brokers for resolving any problems during transactions; 
  • Alert higher authorities about any probable misrepresentation of figures in financials; 
  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure IFRS Compliance; 
  • Any other work assigned by senior officials; 

Education and Experiences 

  • Semi Qualified CA (Final Level).  
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience. 
  • Age not exceeding 40 years. 

Required Skills: 

  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Client first attitude, professional demeanour, personal integrity and an understanding of fiduciary responsibility.  
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. 
  • Self-motivated, confident, detail-oriented. 
  • Willingness to take on additional operational responsibilities as needed.  
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.  
  • Working knowledge of Tally software would be considered an asset.
