Various IT sales

An IT sales professional's duties can be divided into three categories:

• Pre-sales: Providing thorough details on technical specs and how they could satisfy a customer's demands
• Sales - arranging a business deal that benefits the client and the provider
• The provision of hardware and software support is known as post-sales (or after-sales).

Responsibilities

You must: as an IT sales professional:

• Converse with clients over the phone or in person
• Learn about clients' various and unique business demands and use product expertise to suit those needs.
• Ensuring quality of service via rigorous and accurate documentation of technical requirements, additional features, and employer systems and processes
• Make cold calls to stimulate interest in goods and services, new business prospects, and meeting arrangements.
• Find and create new business opportunities through networking and polite follow-up conversations.
• Prepare and give software presentations and demonstrations to customers. Market and advertise a range of goods by creating sales materials, going to industry events, and visiting trade shows.
• Stay up with and be informed of the ever-evolving hardware, software, and peripherals (e.g., keyboard and mouse)
• Create successful sales strategies 
• Employing a sales approach
• Before and after the sale, give clients technical guidance on all facets of the installation and operation of computer systems and networks.
• Guide software features and how they may be used to help in various situations, such as accountancy, manufacturing, or other specialized fields.
• Satisfy managerially imposed sales goals and contribute to team objectives
• Network with current clients to preserve connections and advertise new goods and improvements
• Respond to tender documents, proposals, reports, and supporting material. Handle hardware or software problems and defects, sending them on to specialized technical colleagues as necessary.
• Organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals by managing workload.
• Participate in team or progress meetings to inform and update coworkers.
