Job Description

A sales officer is the individual in charge of handling the sales representatives for the specified area. He/ She oversees the staffing of the company, hires and trains new employees; sets the sales quotas or goals, helps in financing arrangements, warranties and rebates for clients. Sales Officer lead a dealership’s sales team. 

Essential Functions:

  • Run the entire sales team’s dealerships to the specified region.
  • Responsible for developing campaigns, marketing plans and other effective techniques for company to excel among the rest
  • Aside from thinking of innovative ways to sell Steel, maintaining the allotted budget
  • Engaging and training new staff
  • Entertaining Steel buyers and handling customer complaints or inquiries. 
  • Complete Cement inventories, sales reports and invoices, and other documents released under his/her watch
  • Create new leads & aggressively grow & retain the market share
  • Following potential leads and managing Cement sales
  • Communicating with potential buyers to understand their needs
  • Delivering the sales pitch to potential buyers
  • Filling up tenders for big institutions
  • Write effective proposals for clients
  • Leadership qualities to be able to manage Senior team members
  • Ability to network and create working relationships with Corporate Clients
  • Develop vendor relationships with existing & future vendors
  • Assign & monitor performance of the existing team members
  • Manage costs & expenses judiciously
  • Fluent with MS Office functions (PPT, EXCEL & MS Word)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide status reporting of team activities against the target plan or schedule
  • Keep the Area Sales Manager informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
  • Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams
  • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team
  • Provide guidance to the team based on management direction
