We are looking for a driven business development manager or director to join our team. The candidate should have an affinity to understand technical products and the ability to demonstrate how they work. Your responsibilities will include establishing the needs of the customer and recommending and demonstrating products. In addition, you will be responsible for hiring, training and managing representatives. This position requires one to be comfortable with a player/coach role. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prospect new sales leads, write and present proposals that will be required to support sales efforts.
  • Utilize business processes and strategic visions while driving measurable outcomes.
  • Train junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations.
  • Recruit and hire sales staff and develop training programs.
  • Establish the technical needs of the customer and suggest appropriate products.
  • Execute and lead client engagements and serve as a client advocate.
  • Set quarterly and annual sales goals by working together with company executives and management and motivate the sales teams to achieve their goals.
  • Ensure that sales targets are consistently met.
  • Report client communications and sales status in quarterly, monthly, weekly and ad-hoc presentations to leadership.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline and accurate forecast in our CRM and update records of customer communications and contact information.
  • Continue enhancement of industry knowledge by keeping abreast of research, training and outside education resources.
  • Manage sales teams and maintain sales operations.
  • Review and finalize major client deliverables and presentations.
  • Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers
  • Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales or marketing experience preferably in B2B sales.
  • Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company products work. Ability and desire to learn quickly.
  • Proven leadership ability at hiring and managing junior representatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to identify and follow up on leads.
  • Exceptional skills in selling products and closing deals.
  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques.
  • Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
