Education Level : Under Graduate (Bachelor)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 2 years
Other Specification

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in journalism or mass communications
  • Proven working experience as a reporter
  • Portfolio of published articles or newscasts
  • Ability to gather, write and edit news
  • Excellent communication, lobbying and active listening skills
  • English editing and Nepali-to-English translation skills will be an additional bonus

Job Description

  • To collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information relating to the political, economic and social issues
  • To assemble findings into a stable story
  • To write and deliver news stories with the reader’s perspective in mind
  • To receive assignments and investigate news leads/tips
  • Abide by journalism’s ethics and codes
  • To come up with story ideas. Contact, interview and research sources
  • Maintain notes and audio recordings
  • Cooperate with reporters, chief editor, producers, etc.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest current events by studying papers, attending events, etc.
