VisaConnex Education and Migration Services is looking for a motivated candidate to fill the role of Senior Counsellor. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice to the student that meets a range of students needs as per guidelines provided by the organisation standard operations procedures
• Provide reliable, accurate and comprehensive information based on students’ profiles
• Interpret and explain college and university policies and procedures, prepare orientations, and present academic information to students and parents during counselling sessions
• Identify options for students to satisfy degree requirements, evaluate and make recommendations in the institution abroad for a preferred program of study
• Assist students in completing the admission process and getting admission in the accredited institutions in the selected study destinations
• Assist students in going through all the process elements in obtaining entry as students at the selected destinations
• Participate in decision making and in activities, which contribute to the effective operation within the department
• Demonstrate leadership skills and motivate the team members when required
• Cooperate and collaborate with other professionals in enhancing the career and education of students
• Regular follow-ups to ensure that the students process abroad via the organisation
• Achieve specified targets on time as agreed
• Analyse progress, determine eligibility, necessity and resources to progress towards the target
• Identify the current and potential needs or problem areas, and refer to the problem, if any, to the immediate supervisor through the proper channel
• Check various forms for accuracy such as curriculum changes, visa policy changes, fee schedule changes and update the same in the organisation information system folders/locations
• Regularly search options for students to satisfy specific degree requirements
• Evaluate transfer transcripts from other academic institutions for equivalencies and application to selected degree programs
• Coordinate with the Academic department to ensure the status of the currently enrolled students in various programs for further counselling
