Job Description

Work Purpose    :     To oversee, support, and manage all Development Coordinators in a Local Programming Area (LPA)/Area Development Programme (ADP). It includes to work in and among communities, ensuring implementation of all project development initiatives, and serving as a catalyst and mobilizer of NGO partners, community/local partners and government counterparts. The incumbent will mobilize the team to bring effective administrative and programmatic results.
    
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferable) in Rural Development/Social Work/Social Science or relevant subject from recognised university with at least three years’ experience in  community/people-led development work with I/NGOs.
  • Good understanding of design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project 
  • Basic understanding on the disaster management related matter
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groups
  • Strong communication skills including cross cultures
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability and commitment to listen to others
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation  
  • Ability to work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali                 
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent & creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
