Work Purpose: To take overall leadership role in providing oversight, support and coordination in Sunsari Economic Empowerment of Producers (SEEP) Project implementing project areas. The SEEP Project will work with/through partner organisations (community, government, and private sector) through coordination of appropriate interventions and effective and efficient use of resources within the framework SEEP project objective and strategies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree (preference Master’s degree) in Agriculture/Sociology/Social Work/Rural Development/ Economics or relevant field from recognised university with at least three years working experience in market led agriculture projects
- Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in an NGO context in working with community/grassroots people and organisations in market led agriculture promotion.
- Extensive experience and recognised expertise in models and methods of training, facilitation and capacity building, and organizational development for staff and communities.
- Thorough understanding and experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including sampling, survey design, data analysis, and the application of these methods to project Design, Monitoring and Evaluation standards in respective sectors
- Thorough understanding and experience in Results-Based management, development of community-based organisations, linking of professional, academic and community-based learning models
- Familiarity with development theory, poverty analysis and livelihood security frameworks; Value Chain Development, Making Markets Work for the Poor, Participatory Rural Appraisal/Participatory Learning & Action, Appreciative Inquiry, etc.
- Good knowledge on logical frameworks, strategic sourcing, procurement planning and monitoring
- Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation, Mind Jet and Microsoft Visio.
- Ability to work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
- Ability to work in different target groups and in a team
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali

- Self-motivated, confident, independent & creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
