Nepal Social Development and People Empowerment Center (NESPEC) is a nongovernmental social organization conceived and sustained by volunteers. This organization has been established by people who have involved themselves completely in social service and are from different communities of Udayapur district. NESPEC has been working since B.S.2053 (1997) to empower the politically, socially, and economically depressed and oppressed members of our society.

NESPEC’s work gives a high priority to uniting and empowering right holders through social mobilization, skill development, promotion of suitable technologies, and building of social capital. We are looking for a dynamic, Visionary and Leadership qualitative candidates for project of Agriculture and Economic Development (A&ED) Project which will be carried out in partnership with World Vision for the following positions:

Job Location: Udayapur District with frequent field visit    

Duration: 9 months with possibility of extension

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The purpose of the position will be :

  • To collect, compile, analyze and verify the information collected from community in a way that provides accurate and valid information and database
  • To provide necessary support  for periodic baseline, evaluation and monitoring process in the assigned program areas
  • To improve the quality of programmes and information management through improved monitoring and accountability system in the programme areas

Job Description:

  • Update Beneficiaries Tracking and Monitoring System (BTMS) provided by Relief Nepal to track all project beneficiaries and monitor project activities, and produce and submit monthly BTMS report
  • Carry out monitoring against quality benchmark (QBM) as per plan and submit monthly QBM report to Relief Nepal with identified corrective actions
  • Collect and collate secondary data from various sources in working districts and municipalities for the purpose of assessments, baseline survey and evaluations- as per requirement of Relief Nepal.
  • Take lead role for coordination, communication and getting necessary approval from local government authorities regarding baseline surveys, evaluations and special researches/studies
  • Facilitate community meetings while selection of working area - wards/community or cluster selection as well as beneficiary for project activities
  • Ensure compliance of standard criteria and guidelines for prioritizing the working area (municipalities, wards, communities/clusters) and selecting beneficiaries with focus on most vulnerable
  • Establish and operate information provision system on key aspects of the project (such as sharing key message on Technical Program to communities and stakeholders, message on community feedback and response mechanism, beneficiary selection process and criteria etc)

Education, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or development studies in the field relevant to M&E
  • Data collection methodologies qualitative and quantitative
  • At least 2 years of experience working with NGO/INGO in the field of monitoring, evaluation and accountability sector, Computer and Technology literacy; Good computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Additional Requirement:

  • Candidate must possess a valid two wheeler driving license
