KOSHISH is a non-governmental self-help organization registered in District Administration Office, Kathmandu in 2008 and affiliated with Social Welfare Council. KOSHISH is a right-based organization working extensively in advocacy in and multi-disciplinary and holistic mental health and psychosocial support in Nepal. In addition, KOSHISH is also working in system strengthening and creating a model that the government and other stakeholders may able to replicate.

Job Specification

Education Level : Graduate (Masters)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 2 years
Other Specification
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Public Health or social science
  • At least 2 years of experience in coordinating with different stakeholders and in project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali
  • Excellent skill in documentation
  • Excellent computer skills; well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite particularly strong and thorough knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and in team
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project
  • Able to accomplish quality work with strict deadlines
  • Preference will be given to the candidates having previous work experience in suicide prevention

Job Description

  • Develop annual project action plan in coordination with project team
  • Develop strong networking and collaboration with stakeholders of the project
  • Ensure proper documentation of the project
  • Coordinate, organize and facilitate meetings / workshop / Interaction / orientation programs and carry out follow ups to trace the outcomes
  • Develop liaison with concern government stakeholders for the inclusion of sucide prevention strategy in the National Mental Health Strategy and Action Plan
  • Media mobilization
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas to commemorate special days indicated by the project
  • Represent KOSHISH in different platforms
  • Support in Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Prepare monthly, semi-annual and annual reports of the project

Note: We offer attractive salary in accordance with organizational policy, a good working environment and a knowledgeable team to work with. Job Description might be upgraded based on organizational and project requirements. The initial contract for the position is one year with possibility of extension.
