Qualification & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant from recognized institute (ICAI/ICAN) or ACCA
  • Or Master’s degree in MBA/MBS with at-least 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Accounting principles, policies and procedures including GAAP
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluating audits, assessing auditor competence, and following up on issues resulting from the audits
  • Ability to interpret financial and project management reports and to determine appropriate remedial actions
  • Strong planning, organization and time management skills required to facilitate teamwork and to contribute towards a common goal
  • Very good team work, communication, multi-tasking and facilitation skills, adaptability to dynamic and potentially unstable institutional environments
  • Computer skills (information processing and business applications with good knowledge of word processing, excel, ppt, etc)
  • Strong Communication Skill (both verbal and written)

Job Description

Project Description

The project is an NGO engaged in health research activities in collaboration with foreign University and doing local partnership with various government and private hospitals in Nepal.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the accounts & finance team, ensuring the culture and development of staff is enhanced.
  • Review of the work performed by the Junior Accountants.
  • Preparation of the monthly board and management reports
  • Providing analysis of budgets versus actuals and reporting on these variances
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Audited financial statements and taking a key role in managing the audit process
  • Balance sheet and accounts reconciliations
  • Computation of Taxes wherever necessary
  • Payroll Processing, Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
  • Reviewing all formal finance, HR, Procurement and IT related procedures to ensure GFGP compliance
  • Other project work; This organization is due to undergo a finance system implementation this year so be heaving involved in this process

Terms and Conditions for Employment:

  • Full-time position contracted for the project period subject to annual renewal with onset 3-month probation period. Competitive salary to be negotiated
