About the Project: Plan International Nepal is supporting the implementation of Young Women Empowerment project primarily targeting to adolescent girls and young women in 30 VDCs of Parbat district. It aims to organize adolescent girls and young women in young women organizations, enhance their individual and collective capacities for income generation and achieve gender justice. 

Purpose: The position holder will be responsible to coordinate program planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring and reporting. S/he will ensure qualitative implementation of the project interventions at the community and district level. The project coordinator will work hand in hand with two NGO partners and must spend at least 60% of time in the field.

Term and Location: Fixed term employment till 28 February 2020 based in Baglung Field Office.

Required qualifications & experiences: 

  • Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Gender Studies, Sociology and business administration or relevant subject
  • At least 4 years relevant work experiences in promoting girls and women agency and youth employment program
  • Good understanding of contemporary issues, activities and approaches on achieving girls and women agency including economic capabilities
  • Proven experience in coordination, liaison and networking with other organization
  • Strong report writing and communication skill.
  • INGO work experience preferred

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate overall aspects of the young women empowerment project
  • Ensure that the program is implemented on time with quality.
  • Ensure that the program is monitored regularly, feedback reflected in action
  • Design innovative program/projects including new grant projects
  • Ensure that the budget is spent as planned
  • Ensure that both programmatic and financial reporting’s are made on time with quality
  • Coach, nurture and train team members within the program and partner level
  • Provide technical backstopping to the Field office in the relevant area
  • Work closely with local government and its relevant government organizations, local networks/alliances to promote and advocate the girls agency and youth employment agenda
  • Develop Detail Implemetation Plan (DIP), result based monitoring framework and Program Outline and modify as required
  • Revise DIP, budget and partnership agreements as required
