Full Time: 38 hours per week

Role overview:

Technical lead ENGAGE project interventions with focus on girls with disabilities and assure the accomplishment of project outcomes of VSO Nepal (led consortium)

Skills, Qualifications and Experience :

General:

  • 3 years of working experience in similar position with Bachelor’s degree in Education; inclusive Education; Gender
  • studies or social science 
  • Experience working with disability education. Higher degrees with relevant experiences will get priority
  • Proven experience of education projects and experience of strategic thinking, including identifying, analyzing, problem solving, responding to opportunities and challenges, and the ability to translate ideas into practical action
  • Practical experience of applying development issues at a project or schools/communities and education management level. Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of development issues particularly education
  • Training facilitating skills, and skills on technical assessments and research
  • Proven experience communicating with donors and report writing

People Management: 

  • Ability to work in a technical team and support others

Inter-cultural Competence: 

  • Ability to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds with commitment to diversity. Ability to build partnerships and relationships in a multi-cultural environment with demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Communication Skills: 

  • Excellent communications in English and local languages

Organization and Problem Solving: 

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a complex and fast changing environment, work on own initiative and problem solving with solution focus

Flexibility: 

  • To adapt to new situations, with a positive attitude to working in an international organization. Able to travel occasionally and spend time away from base and home

Financial Management:

  • General understanding of financial management policy and procedures

Information Technology: 

  • Good level of computer skills (Windows, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Internet)

  • Experience working with international NGO
  • Experience of working with volunteers
