Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a national level NGO working for women's human rights and to ensure women empowerment with feminist value through protection and promotion of human rights and social justice focusing on campaigns- against violence against women, and women's economic, social and cultural rights nation-wide. We currently work in 19 districts with district offices in Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Siraha, Dhanusha, Dang, Kailali, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rukum, Kapilvastu, Rupandehi and, Surkhet with Central Office in Lalitpur. Job Description

The Program Coordinator reports directly to the SPC. In close coordination with SPC, AFM, Chairperson/ED, the PC takes lead role and works in close coordination with the District Coordinators, Program officers and other field staffs in achieving the goal and objectives of project as well as WOREC. She is mainly responsible for program planning, implementing, monitoring, reporting, documenting, stakeholder communications and coordination with field and other various stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

Program Coordinator performs a wide range of duties as below:

  • Responsible to oversee the project activities and support and supervise the program officers to implement the program.
  • Make annual and monthly plan of program, implement and document the data correctly.
  • Make sure the annual plan is implementing effectively, documenting properly and reporting timely by field officers, counselors and supervisors.
  • Develop project concept notes and project proposal under the supervision on SPC.
  • Engages in preparation of analytical reports and submit it to Senior Program Coordinator. 
  • Overall project monitoring and provide technical feedbacks to the staffs.
  • Organizes training, workshop conferences/seminar and interaction programs in coordination with different national and international partners. .
  • Plan, design and carry out the research, training program for women.
  • Make sure the counseling centre are operating correctly, managing properly and the delivered service are in good quality. 
  • Ensure that the planned activities of women are going on correctly and the evidences have been documenting at central level as well as district level.
  • Coordinate and support to central staff, help to establish organizational monitoring and evaluation system; provide support to develop, orient and apply different monitoring forms/formats, tools and use check list for program/project monitoring.
  • Develop and implement the campaign from women's human rights perspective, campaign against violence against women, women's human rights considering the project documents as well as WOREC's vision and mission
  • Develop forms and records to document program activities. 
  • Take lead and provide support to develop annual and periodic plan based on past experience/learning and innovations and WOREC’s strategic plan using the standardized form that clearly define objective, activities, indicators, expected results, time frame, budget etc. 
  • Plan, design and conduct staff capacity building program and provide technical support to counseling centers and respective staff when and where they need. 
  • Provide managerial support, guidance and technical inputs for violence against campaigns of WOREC and timely implementation and accomplishment of planned program/project activities.
  • Execute program/project activities smoothly, with quality and on time by creating a detailed.
  • Monitor the progress and ensure the quality by tracking program implementation and reporting on timely basis and making necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the respective project.
  • Make field plans and carry out supervision and monitoring visits and provide technical inputs and required support to staff for successful completion of program/projects in all district where WOREC has been working since long.
  • Carry out periodic review of the program/project plan and implementation with program team, provide technical input and conceptual guidance and incorporate learning. 
  • Review, prepare and submit periodic and final reports of high quality on time to the partner/donor organizations in quarterly, half yearly and annually. 
  • Strengthen and maintain relationship with various governments, non- government organizations and various networks that work promoting violence against women and women human right.
  • Facilitate for and maintain proper documentation of cases, success stories, initiatives/works of the organization, including periodic and annual reports and year book; and also ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Maintains strong coordination and collaboration with NGO's/ INGO's and government stakeholders.
  • Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the program.
  • Works according to the organizational   need.
  • Work with private partners and trade unions.
