What we are looking for is a programme manager that:

Is charismatic and not afraid to be different
Has the ability to deal with the SWC and the Board in a correct and proper way; a negotiate well
Can deal with youngsters and directors alike
Is in between 32 to 38 years old
Has at least 5 years of working experience in the field social work (or NGO related)
Enjoys working with young adults aged 17-23 years
Has knowledge on youth and coaching
Has to experience with team and time management
Has a special talent to make young adults feel at ease and expressing themselves; about their thoughts, feelings and inner motivations
Is fluent in English (both spoken and written)
Is used to working with people from a Western culture
Is open-minded and thinks and acts positively
Is an eloquent speaker in front of groups
Has good typing skills and knowledge of Word and Excel
Is a team player that can work independently too
Is inspiring and has a natural way of leadership

Job Description

Mountain Child Care is recruiting a Programme manager Nepal (m/f)

Aim:

The programme manager is a professional who is responsible for the team and the implementation of the various programmes. The programme manager knows how to deal with the Social Welfare Council and is able to report to this government body in a correct and proper way. In addition, he/she communicates with the Nepali board members and invests in building relationships with partner organizations. The programme manager is aware of the timeframe of the various programme and is able to carry out the programmes on time and with a high standard of quality. He/she is able to connect with youth and supports the team with the organization of the QuestTreks and QuestTribe programme. The programme manager works closely together with and reports to the Dutch representative. Mountain Child Care is an organization that thinks out of the box and has innovative ways of working with youth. The programme manager supports and leads the team to carry out this mentality.

Ideally, he/she has the ability to learn about coaching and has the extra quality to join our team on QuestTreks and its follow up the programme, QuestTribes.

Role and Tasks:

Implementation of the various programmes according to policies and manuals
Lead and manage the team by motivating and encouraging them
Time management of the various programmes and tasks related to it
Maintains and supervises the overall quality and planning of the various programmes
Is the public face of the NGO
Report writing (annual report SWC, reports for donors etc.)
Monitoring and evaluation
Communication with SWC, board, donor agencies, and partner organizations
Expanding the existing network of organizations
Organizing inspiring programs (QuestTribes) for motivated
