Location: Kathmandu with extensive travel to project sites

Contract: Fixed Term, Initially for one year. 

Responsible to: Country Director

Job Overview:

The Programme Manager - Infrastructure is responsible for providing technical support, coordinating and where needed managing Tearfund’s Technical/ Infrastructure projects in Nepal as part of Tearfund's earthquake response and any other technical project. As such he/she advises, coordinates and manages the design, planning and implementation of Technical/ Infrastructure project activities. Have to manage Technical/ Infrastructure specific staff as applicable, and support the Country Director, the Deputy Country Director and other relevant staff in Nepal and the UK in the production of internal and external narrative and financial reports. Advising and supporting Tearfund’s partners on Technical/ Infrastructure projects will be a significant part of this role.

  

Position Organization:

Grade: 2

Reports to: Nepal Country Director

Direct Reports: Technical Coordinator, Lamjung and technical staff where appropriate

Dotted Line relationship with: Country Director, Deputy Country Director Partnership, Resilient Advisor, Logistics Coordinator, Programme/Partner Coordinator, Finance Manager, as well as relevant partner staff

Organizational Requirements:

The post-holder will, at all times, carry out their responsibilities with the utmost respect for the protection of children in accordance with Tearfund’s Child Protection Policy. The post-holder will be expected to behave in accordance with Tearfund’s ‘Code of Conduct’ as referred to in the Personal Conduct Policy.
