MyRightEmpowers People with Disabilities is the Swedish umbrella organization for international development cooperation, politically and religiously independent aid organization that works to ensure the persons with disabilities are better able to access their rights. MyRight development cooperation is done in partnership between Swedish disability organizations and their counterparts in program countries. In order to facilitate and coordinate this development cooperation, MyRight has established its offices in seven countries, including Nepal.

Job Location: Based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits

Contract Duration: One year fixed term contract with a possibility of extension (Full Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the partners in development of yearly activity implementation plan in line with the project plans ensuring the results are timely met 
  • Build the capacity of partners to develop and implement local level advocacy strategies for their inclusion in the relevant development program
  • Provide timely feedback to project staff to track the project towards its intended results and quality standards
  • Organize, plan and manage workshops, training related with project activities and capacity building plan
  • Monitor the projects to ensure all the activities are effectively implemented according to the activity implementation plan, achieved the results within the project period
  • Facilitate the partners to work in cooperation with different stakeholders in mainstreaming the disability issue in their intervention
  • Timely follow up and check with partners that project activities are implemented within the project plan thereby ensuring compliances, avoiding duplication, strengthening and maintaining the organizational good governance
  • Support the partners to identify risks that could affect the project implementation and plan for the mitigation measures
  • Assess the reports from partner organizations and prepare the summary report for MyRight annual report

Supervision and Collaboration:

  • This program office will be under the direct supervision of the Regional Coordinator – Asia 

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence: 

  • A Bachelor degree in social science or a related field
  • Minimum 3 Years of working experience in project management 
  • Computer literate with the workable knowledge on MS Office
  • English and Nepalese Fluency
  • Flexible with respect to working hours and place of work
