Job Summary
The position will be responsible for the leadership and management of the NAS Strengthening Emergency Ambulance Services project. The position is based in Kathmandu and will work closely with NAS responsible persons.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review and advance NAS operational systems, including financial management, emergency transport, dispatch, staff management and record keeping
• Work closely with Finance & Administrative Manager and Medical Director to determine the operational needs of the program
• Regularly update Finance & Administrative Manager and Medical Director on progression of programs, including challenges and best practices.
• Implement and maintain prescribed reporting systems to monitor and evaluate the objectives, indicators and outcomes of NAS Strengthening Emergency Ambulance Servicesprogram and ensure timely reporting and the quality of reported statistics.
• Assess community needs for emergency services in current and potential activity areas
• Provide strong leadership to ensure NAS demonstrates excellence in the field of Emergency Ambulance Services in Nepal.  
• Supervise project staff including Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to ensure their smooth and effective operations
• Orients staff members in the general and specific objectives / goals of the programs
• Ensure compliance to local labor laws including working hours
• Ensure that the protocols are revised and improved for warehouse/asset management, vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Ensure dispatch staff are recruited timely and trained and the dispatch center is fully functional with provision of Materials and Medicines
• Other duties as assigned.
