The Program Officer (PO) will be responsible for assisting the Director and the Team in the implementation of annual plan of FDM. The PO will design and draft proposals, concept notes, and final written outputs/ reviews in close collaboration with the Program Specialist. S/he is also expected to prepare Terms of Reference and contracts for consultancy work for FDM and to coordinate training courses being organised in Nepal.

Required Qualification and Experience

• Masters degree preferably in Social Work, Development Studies, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography or other related field. 
• At least 2 years of working experience in the field of development management or similar.

Competencies 

• Research skills, project proposal and concept note writing skills
• Required knowledge on financial management skills, and budgeting
• Knowledge and work experience on contemporary development issues, working with donors and partner organizations
• Fluency in both English and Nepali 
• Basic IT skills required especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and SPSS
