  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in project implementation, donor liaison, operations, administration, or related functions
  • Extensive working experience in dealing with various reports and information analysis a distinct advantage
  • Deep knowledge in local service delivery mechanism, planning and capacity to take advocacy initiative on policy gap
  • Experience preparing reports to donors and clients, and coordinating the compliance
  • Past experience coordinating impact evaluation activities and familiarity with SA tools like PET, GGB  is an advantage
  • Excellent command of both oral and written English
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Have excellent analytical, and writing skills;
  • Be results oriented and able to meet strict timelines for outputs;
  • Be a self-motivated, versatile and adaptable to different cultures and people;
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel), email/internet
  • Ability to operate other Information Management/Database software is highly desirable

Job Description

  • To work with  board and management team  in order to identify different sources of funding available in this country
  • To research and identify potential donors and develop a database or map existing databases which are regularly updated summarizing the range of donors potentially interested in funding our work
  • To identify other funding opportunities (corporate houses, trusts, funding agencies, and individuals) internationally and locally, and provide recommendations for next steps in approaching these sources of funding
  • To prioritize potential funding opportunities according to the best possible match between the scope of projects activities and donor interests
  • To coordinate with project’s board, management and staff to develop a fundraising strategy that will guide the organization in its fundraising efforts during the next year and a half
  • To map the organizations, government agencies and business sector clients that might be likely to be suitable for Public Private Working Group (PPWG) for the project
  • Support information dissemination activities and advocate for the project among key stakeholders
  • Liaise with the clients during project closeout report submission and acceptance
  • Coordinate and oversee entry of relevant data into the project database, verify the accuracy of inputted data, ensure the filing system is updated and include database information in periodic project reports
  • Coordinate timely implementation of all aspects of the project with particular emphasis specific activities described in the project documents
  • Ensure adherence to administrative, project management and financial rules and regulations
