  • S/he should have technical knowledge in Maternal and neonatal health, child health;  monitoring, evaluation and supervision skills, working experience of building capacity,  networking & coordination skills, program planning and  budgeting planning and monitoring skills, facilitation skills, proficiency in writing technical and programmatic reports, ability to work under pressure, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills, Fluency in written and spoken Nepali and English and Computer skill is a must.


Job Description

  • The position holder will be responsible for providing strategic, technical and managerial leadership for the Maternal Neonatal Child Health (MNCH) project under MERCK in two districts namely Baitadi and Bajura of Nepal, oversee day-to-day operations and management, supervise the project staff, ensure timely planning, implementation, regular monitoring and evaluation, monitoring financial expenditure regularly, liaise with government counter parts Family Health Division, Child Health Division, NHTC at national level and represent MNCH Merck project at district, regional and national level. The responsibilities also include assisting the Health & Nutrition Program manager in engaging the Project Advisory Team regularly; Coordinate closely with other departments and assist Program Manager – Health & Nutrition and in program department’s smooth operation and quality results as and when required.

Term and Location:  Two years (with possibility for extension)/ based Far West Regional Office (Dhangadhi)
