  • S/he should have sound experience in designing, implementing and monitoring facility-based MNH interventions and/or programs as well as capacity development in the area of MNH.
  • The position holder should have prior working experience in MNH with the government and/or professional associations and/or pre-service training institutions.
  • S/he should have the ability to advocate and lobby on MNH issues.
  • S/he should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and should be willing to spend 50% of time in the community.
  • Knowledge of MoHP policies & programs and DoHS would be added advantages.

Job Description

  • The Program Coordinator - MNH, SNL III will be responsible for providing overall technical support to activities related to MNH in Nepal through the SNL, Phase III. 
  • S/he will work in coordination with the MNH Coordinator, Child Health Division (CHD) to ensure the effective implementation of project goals and innovative approaches for MNH.
  • S/he will play a vital role in advocating for MNH and integrating programs related to MNH within the Family Health Division (FHD) & CHD and thus streamlining it in the Department of Health Services (DoHS).
  • The position holder will also provide technical support for scaling-up community and facility-based newborn health interventions and ensuring the institution of MNH within the Department of Health & Population (DoHP). S/he will work with government and partners to improve the quality of MNH services at different levels of health care.

For field based positions, priority will be given to local eligible applicants.
