COPPADES has been implementing Leave No-one Behind (LNOB) Housing Project in Rainas Municipality and Dordi rural Municipality of Lamjung  in partnership with Practical Action  Nepal with financial support from Department for International Development (DFID).

Job Description

Job Summary: 

The main purpose of this position is to contribute to achieve the goal of LNOB housing reconstruction Project by leading the project in planning, implementation, monitoring, supervision, reporting and establishing and maintaining effective coordination and networking with related district and local stakeholders as well as project team in the district. He/she will be able to work under the guidance ED of COPPADES and PMU team of Practical Action .

The duties and responsibilities of the Project Coordinator (PC) include, but are not limited to, the followings:

  • Act as person overall responsible for LNOB Project and respond to whatever becomes necessary
  • Work as project liaison person connecting with local governance, district authorities, central government as well as donor agency as the funding agency
  • Train, assign and monitor staff activities
  • Design, plan and attend training activities, observe and take photos as necessary, acquire relevant photos from other field staff as necessary.
  • Assist the project beneficiaries at the target communities on maximizing positive impact of the project on them.
  • Get the logistics facilitator do her job and write the progress reports and finalize to be presented to the donor and other relevant authorities.
  • Work on writing proposal and reports on the project and design the work when necessary.
  • Represent COPPADES in meetings, workshops and seminars as necessary.
  • Look into the program budget and make sure that the financial activities are as per the given guidelines of the project.
  • Make sure/check carefully that the program funds are appropriately spent and the value of money is maintained while making expenses.
  • Help the Project Accountant to make expenses and collecting documents as per the financial rules and regulations. 
  • Help the Finance Officer and to the Project Accountant to review expenses on a periodic manner and put everything as per the financial rules and regulations.
  • Answer the donor organization about the ground situation so that the program achieves the results anticipated.
  • Be an official active in looking into the overall success of the assignment under the project.
  • Be in the office in Besisahar and the field area to design, plan and attend training activities. Observe field activities, take photos and document the progress being made.
  • Assign responsibilities, coordinate activities and monitor and report and verify staff activities (work attendance etc.) at the field level.
  • Assist the COPPADES Focal Person on matters he might be in need.
  • Make sure that the program activities are gender sensitive and the participation of women are well taken care of.
  • Make sure that all safeguarding activities are well in effect and complied
  • Make sure that all COPPADES policies are complied, policies on women, children and the disadvantaged groups of people while making decisions.
  • Look into and assist the field staff under logistics facilitator in implementing the project activities: finding resource person, making arrangements on time and place of the training, and doing whatever is necessary.

Salary: Negotiable (Based on education and experience)
