Job Description

Sukalpa is seeking a Program Coordinator for one of its Ilam based projects on growing and value addition in Ginger Farming by providing training to the farmers, with focus on organic farming. The candidate will have to manage the project on-ground, including liasoning with the relevant stakeholders, implementation of the farmer training, data monitoring and evaluation, reporting and other required tasks.

There is tremendous opportunity in this project to learn and grow your skills and work in India-Nepal collaborative projects. It will open the doors for the vast opportunities in the Indian agriculture.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Establish the project monitoring and evaluation system
  • Supervise the work of the Field Assistants and other staffs
  • Coordinate and communicate with all the staff of the project, local governments, farmers unions etc. and track performance.
  • Liaison with stakeholders and provide collated and organized data.
  • Identify and engage lead farmers, cooperatives & villagers and facilitate the training program on Ginger
  • Organize the operations of the training programs in consultation with the training schedule provided by the Agronomist
  • Verify and check the data collected by other staff and provide regular reports of the project to Sukalpa and Parvata Foods

Project Duration: 2 Years in Ilam District

 Salary: As per market, based on merit
