Job Description

Program: Green Recyclers - A PET Bottle Recycling Program

Program Summary:

The current program aims to improve the plastic waste management practices in Nepal while creating environmental, economic and social impact through the establishment of a self-sustainable recycling enterprise in Bharartpur. The program works towards the recovery of waste PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles i.e., plastic bottles used for food/ beverage packaging, through recollection and recycling mechanism with all the major stakeholders brought together. 

Primary Purpose of the Role:

To assist in the execution of the program implementation through undertaking site development actions, performing day-to-day program activities, coordinating with key vendors and reporting of the overall program development activities to the Program Officer, whilst maintaining a good relationship with strategic partners of the program.

Job Detail: Currently, the CREASION is seeking application from Nepali citizens for the position of Program Associate.(This is a full-time position. The selected candidate will work closely with the concerned team, based in Chitwan with frequent travel and stay in the head office.)

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Program Associate include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead and execute resource-sourcing strategies, obtaining sign off from key vendors. (Resource here refers to materials required for project site development and plant operation)
  • Support site management in relation to plant administration.
  • Implement social action projects engaging local communities, women, and youths under supervision while representing an organizational overview.
  • Take ownership of and work with the local partners, donors, and relevant stakeholders to implement project related activities, with the aim of retaining a good relationship with the key stakeholders.
  • Monitor, track and report key functional activities in the field to improve project effectiveness.
  • Identify, coordinate and drive continuous project improvement actions both internally and externally.
  • Understand and react to the project needs.
  • Manage the implementation of any agreed strategies, contracts or processes and ultimately become the company point of contact for all operational issues relating to Facilities Management.
